I used to make cakes all the time when I was younger. I was really into it for a while.
My favorite was a "constuction site" cake for my best friends son's 5th birthday.
I used two cake mixes and used a roaster pan. I made roads and used small toy construction site figures. I made roads and a pit where I had frosting coming out of a toy cement mixer. I loaded dump trucks with little candies. I found little men with stop and yield sighns. It really was cool. I wish I could find a picture of it to post.
I also made my friend a heart shaped mothers day cake with real flowers on it ...it came out really nice. I was quite proud of myself.
